WHY I SWITCHED FROM MAILCHIMP TO FLODESK FOR EMAIL MARKETING
When I started blogging, it was mainly to share my Scrapbooking stuff, promote my workshops and our life in Montreal in 2004 (yes I started blogging at that time!). Little did I know I would someday be monetizing or making it a full time job! I didn't even know if there were people making it a full time job at that time. It was only much later, when my community started to grow rapidly, that I started to get interested in email marketing, digital marketing, social media, content marketing and much more. So I decided, without knowing exactly what I was doing, or even any strategy in mind, to create a mailing list.
So I got started with Mailchimp, the platform that seemed to me the most adequate at that time. It took me a long time to understand the tricks to use this platform. I spent many hours of self-training and lost lots of hair and self-control. Today, Mailchimp has changed its pricing policies and, despite the very good tools they offer to their subscribers, they no longer suit me, neither my graphic design nor my wallet.
Email Marketing is such a powerful tool
I spent lots of time educating myself in 2019, even in 2018, and my brain just clicked. That's it! I KNEW exactly what I wanted to do, how I wanted to work everything out and with which tools! And email marketing appeared to me as a tool that I really wanted to use.
